Jean-Étienne Langianni — self-taught musician, singer and composer. A permanent member of Tavagna (since 1981), Ensemble Organum (since 1993) and Seraphica, which he started in założył w 2007.
In his artistic work he maintains and popularises the traditions of Corsica, preserving so called corsican style.
During this workshop we are going to explore polyphonic corsican chants intended for a Good Friday. These will be mainly psalms, the forgotten polyphony of which was retrieved by the confraternities using other, still living traditions of the island.
We are going to sing in the refectory of a former benedictin monastery in Lubomierz (pl. Kościelny 5, 59-623).
teaching cost: 300 zł (70 euro)
accomodation: we don’t ensure it, but we can help you finding one
There are for example rooms to rent in Lubomierz, above pizzeria Norra, about 5 minutes walking from a monastery.
